I thought at Christmas that, if I were to make a New Year's Resolution, which I never do, it would be to spend more time on my reviews, to make them longer and more interesting.  On occasion, I have been trying to do this, but this occasion doesn't warrant it, so I'm going to steal the Empire review of Inventing The Abbotts:
