It was about the convention held in Philadelphia some years after the American War of Independence, where representatives from the 13 states got together to bash out the Constitution.
If you think watching a group of men sit around, arguing over how a country should be governed, sound boring - you would be dead wrong. It was brilliantly scripted and extremely interesting.
Plus, the costumes were fabulous and the flamboyant Gouverneur Morris, who reminded me very much of Johnny Depp in The Libertine, added a certain extra something...
