alobearDave and I had a lovely evening out last night, walking to the cinema, watching Moana 2, and then walking home again. It was very convivial few hours and we both enjoyed the film.
In a rare turn of events, while I was watching it, I mostly just let it happen and didn't over-analyse. It was fun and entertaining, but not mind-blowing. The kakamura were a standout - and there were a couple of moments with then that had me tearing up.
There weren't many songs and only one of them felt memorable - Maui's musical interlude, on the other hand, was awful.
Overall, a fun outing and I'm glad I went, but I don't think it's going to stay with me.
