A Threat of Shadows

I really enjoyed the whole Keeper Origins trilogy by JA Andrews earlier this year, so I was looking forward to getting stuck into the Keeper Chronicles trilogy - but it didn't work out. I started listening to the first volume, A Thread of Shadows, but didn't connect to the protagonist or any of the other characters. I wasn't particularly gripped by the plot, either, and it didn't feel like the same world that got me so invested in Sable's story. The audiobook narrator also went very heavily into broad accents for the different characters, which I found very annoying. So, I gave up on it a few hours in.
