Last night, Dave and I went to see Jump! at the Peacock Theatre near Holborn. It was both one of the silliest and one of the most impressive things I've ever seen, and highly enjoyable.
Basically, it's a series of slapstick comedy sketches based around martial arts moves and acrobatics, which means people get hit in the head and fall over a lot while executing incredible fight moves and fantastically choreographed acrobatic sequences.
It's set around the adventures of a family of grandfather, mother, father, daughter and drunken uncle. While the uncle came a close second, my favourite character was the daughter's suitor who started off as a sweet but bumbling romantic, but transformed into a sex god fighting machine every time he took off his glasses.
Brilliant stuff! An absolute must for anybody who likes Jackie Chan movies, and highly recommended to anybody who enjoys watching very fit people do very impressive things with their bodies and doesn't mind broad Eastern humour.
