alobearButcher & Blackbird by Brynne Weaver is a romance between two serial killers.
So, yeah...
I thought it sounded intriguing and it came highly recommended by a new editing client - but it just didn't work for me.
I found the chronic insecurities and inability to communicate of both protagonists really grating and I didn't connect to them enough to want to root for their relationship.
There were also major aspects of their 'annual competition' that made very little sense.
I DNF'd this about halfway through.
