The Ferryman
Aug. 20th, 2024 10:11 amThe Ferryman was recommended to me when I was looking for a five-star read after a bit of a reading slump - and I really enjoyed it.
It's cerebral sci-fi of the type I like (apart from a couple of sudden thriller-y bits and a few large chunks of dry exposition at the end), with lots of layers and lots of questions raised throughout.
I don't think everything made total sense, completely to my satisfaction by the end - but a lot of it was really interesting and well put together.
It didn't engage my emotions as much as I would have liked - but perhaps that's more down to me than the book.
Overall, recommended.
