To Kill A Mockingbird
Jun. 30th, 2024 09:20 pmDave got me to read To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee for our podcast - and it was fine.
It wasn't really how I'd imagined it somehow, knowing almost nothing about it at all going in. Not all that much actually happened, and it was quite dry and didactic with a lot of the characters giving periodic speeches that encapsulated the message. But the very end brought thing all together in a very satisfying way and got me in the feels to a certain extent.
So, I can't say I actively disliked it, but I wouldn't put it in my favourites list either!
