Kung Fu Panda 4

In preparation for Kung Fu Panda 4 coming out (eight years after the last instalment in the series...), we rewatched the previous three films, to remind ourselves of what had happened. This was a fun exercise - though it perhaps might have been better not to have bothered...

First film - Po masters kung fu
Second film - Po masters inner peace
Third film - Po masters chi

Since this last feat results in almost godlike powers, it didn't seem as if there was much further he could really go on his journey...

And I have to admit that Kung Fu Panda 4 did feel rather tacked-on-for-the-sake-of-making-more-money...

Don't get me wrong - it was fun, it made me laugh, it had some emotional moments, some wow moments and some good set pieces. And the voice acting was phenomenal.

But those great moments were brief and scattered - and the rest of it was, well, just fine.
