alobearToday, I have given up on The Garden of Lost and Found by Harriet Evans (the prologue was confusing and depressing and the introduction of the modern-day narrative very off-putting in terms of the portrayal of the main characters) and The Queen's Lady by Joanna Hickson (a pretty bleak start to what promised to be quite a dreary tale).
