Dave bought tickets for a live music event some time ago - and, by the time it rolled around last night, we had both forgotten what it even was or why we wanted to go. We decided not to look up the details - and so we were very pleasantly surprised by an evening of candlelit string quartet renditions of songs from musicals! The musicians were excellent, the venue was lovely and the songs were all familiar to me but one. They covered Andrew Lloyd Webber (Evita, Cats, Joseph), Abba, Sondheim, The Lion King, Dear Evan Hansen, The Greatest Showman, Chicago and others, in an hour-long performance that saw us home by 9pm. Great stuff all round!
