Blue Beetle

alobearOverall, I thought Blue Beetle was pretty good.
I liked the characters, there was a good level of action, emotion, drama, etc.
Bits of it were quite funny.
Xolo Maridueña is very appealing and it's good to see him getting more attention following Kobra Kai.
My only real issue was that Jaime kept exhorting the Blue Beetle suit not to kill anyone - and then his uncle and his grandmother both killed lots of people and made jokes about it. So, the juxtaposition of that felt jarring, and trying to make violent killing funny didn't sit right with me.
However, that aside, I enjoyed this film and would certainly watch another one in the series. It was definitely better than anything Marvel has put out in quite some time, and very much the best DC film I've seen so far.
