This game combines several mechanics I enjoy - it's also easy to learn but hard to play well, which is usually a good combination, in my experience.
You have a starter set of adventurers you can assign to various tasks, which gradually increase your income, money supplies and fame points, based on improving your guild hall, recruiting new adventurers and completing quests of varying difficulty levels.
There are conflict mechanics for when two or more players want to do the same thing at the same time, and nine rounds over which to increase your different resources and points levels. Adventurers have different levels in a range of six skills and some also have special abilities that can be brought to bear to improve your situation.
I thought I was doing really badly, but was still quite enjoying it - and ended up coming second! I would very much welcome the opportunity to play again, starting with a different set of guild adventurers.
