I listened to the audiobook version of Ignite the Sun by Hanna C Howard this week - good narrator delivering a solid YA fantasy tale. The worldbuilding is particularly good - the evil queen has blanketed the realm in constant darkness, in order to cement her victory over the Sun Children. But one Sun Child remains - our protagonist, Siria, who must band together with the few remaining rebels and harness her power to defeat the oppressive regime and bring the sunlight back.
There's a good range of characters, a lot of both internal and external conflict, pacy plot progression and emotive writing. There's a bit too much teen angst in some place for my tastes, but I guess that goes with the territory and the romance sub-plot is well executed overall.
