I was delighted to discover that the last in the The Interdependency series by John Scalzi was available in audiobook format and that Wil Wheaton was narrating it, because I do love Wil telling me a story and I was keen to find out how the series would conclude.

It's quite a complex tale, told across three reasonably short books, and I was unusually glad for the recap sections that happened early on (even though I normally hate it when authors do this). They were quite cleverly woven into the narrative, so weren't too jarring, and it was useful to have a reminder of what had happened before.

Overall, the book was fun, and I liked the multi-strand narrative, following different characters in different places, with very different plans and motivations.

With only an hour to go, I couldn't imagine how everything was going to be wrapped up, but it turned out to be a very satisfying conclusion, even if it was quite sad in places and there was quite a lot of exposition at the end. I'm glad to have seen this series through - it was pretty good!
