Wayward Son

I have to admit to being disappointed with Wayward Son by Rainbow Rowell. The previous Simon Snow book, Carry On, read very much like good fanfiction, but this one reads very much like bad fanfiction. The premise is ridiculous, the angst is way over the top, the story makes very little sense, and the ending is incredibly infuriating. I still enjoyed spending time with the characters, but the rapidly switching multiple points of view were still annoying and repetitive, and it didn't feel like it achieved anything useful or went anywhere interesting. Hey ho.
