Message In A Bottle

Last night, I went to a dance-theatre show, based on the music of Sting, called Message In A Bottle. And it was one of the most incredible shows I've ever seen. I will always be amazed by the things people can do with their bodies, and the athleticism and beauty of the contemporary dance in the show is superlative. The story is also both coherent and powerful - yes, it made me cry, but in a good way. I loved the way the music is interpreted, taking well-known songs and pairing them with parts of the story that might be unexpected. The lighting in particular was really effective, producing the sense of a prison, a boat on the sea, explosions in the distance, and all sorts of other settings. The cast was one of the most diverse I've seen in anything, and I loved the fact that some of the dance pairings were same sex, and sometimes it was the women lifting the men in the paired sections.
Everything about the show was amazing and I will definitely be going to see it again.
