Crimes of Grindelwald
Dec. 4th, 2018 03:20 pmWent to see the second Fantastic Beasts film last night and really enjoyed it.
It's not the sort of film I'll watch over and over again (like the first one), and it definitely focuses on setting things up for future instalments (which has been a criticism in reviews), but only in the same way as The Empire Strikes Back, which is generally lauded.
The effects were good, Newt was adorable, the creatures were awesome, there was some moral ambiguity, and tons of complex inter-relationships.
So, I would encourage anyone who is interested in the series to go and see it, and I'm very much looking forward to the next one!
