We've done lots of fun stuff while we've been in Canada. We've been round interesting museums, eaten in lots of lovely restaurants, seen some great scenery and watched two plays.

Today, though, we went to Stanley Park. Now, Stanley Park is my favourite place in Vancouver, but on my two previous visits there I'd only walked a little way round the bit nearest to the city. Today, Dave suggested we rent bikes, and we cycled around the whole park (10km round the sea wall). It was glorious - the sun came out after two days of steady rain, and we saw all the different views of the city, the bay and the open sea as we circled the park. We discovered a couple of beaches, some nice rock formations, lots of eager squirrels and even a raccoon.

Once we had circumnavigated the park, we forged inwards to a lake in the centre, and I showed Dave the *real* Stanley Park - trees, trees, trees and more trees, stretching up and around as far as the eye can see. The park may be on the edge of the city, but you could a hundred miles away from anywhere once you step a hundred yards inside the trees. I absolutely love it there. It almost felt like coming home, as if I'd left a part of myself there two years ago and it welcomed me back again with open arms as we cycled through the trees.

Anyway, just thought the fantasticness of today deserved a post.
