Fear the Sky!
Apr. 8th, 2015 04:39 pmThis is the first in the Fear Saga series by Stephen Moss.
Despite a ridiculous title, and some (in my view) unnecessarily violent bits, this is actually a pretty good book.
It has some interesting twists on the standard alien invasion plot, which I found intriguing and well worked out. The complexity of the alien infiltration plot and the enforced secrecy of the human response made for quite a thrilling tale. I also liked a lot of the characters, some of whom had some really interesting depths, and a lot of motivational obstacles to overcome.
The next book isn't out on audio yet, but I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for it, as I'm quite keen to find out what happens once the main alien force arrives to attack Earth.
