Blackout review
Jun. 20th, 2014 09:43 pmLast in the Newsflesh trilogy by Mira Grant, Blackout continues with the tale of post-apocalyptic journalism and government conspiracy. It also shows yet another side to the relationship between Shaun Mason and the three different version of his adopted sister, Georgia, that appear in the novels. The progression of Shaun's character and psychosis is by far the most interesting the well-drawn aspect of the novels, and it doesn't disappoint in this final instalment.
There's also lots of action, running from zombies, gasp-inducing revelations - and other great characters (some of whom do die).
A good conclusion to a highly enjoyable triology. Not your average zombie story.
[Side note - anyone looking for really well-written, female-centric TV drama at the moment shouldn't look further than Orange Is The New Black - my latest obsession!]
