Jill Books 2-9
Aug. 18th, 2021 07:50 amAfter re-reading the first Jill book by Ruby Ferguson for the podcast last week, I decided to read the other eight and completed them all just over a week.
It was really fun to revisit this series - though, by the end of it, I started wanting to declare things 'smashing' and call people 'the depths' when they were annoying me!
Jill really is astonishingly lucky in her pony adventures. She always works hard at everything and makes the most of every opportunity that comes her way, but the most fantastic things do seem to fall into her lap at every turn. I suppose there's nothing wrong with a bit of wish fulfilment in pony books aimed at pre-teen girls.
A very enjoyable detour down memory lane.
