Alice In Wonderland review
Mar. 11th, 2010 11:33 pmJust spent a very pleasant evening with work colleagues - who knew I could enjoy being sociable?
We went to see Alice In Wonderland, which I thoroughly enjoyed, contrary to expectations. I could have entirely done without the 3D, and I thought some of the effects were less than convincing. However, visually and conceptually, it was extremely good, with a very strong cast and just the right combination of whimsy and excitement. Mr Depp made a very appealing tragic/romantic hero of a delightfully odd nature, and Mia Wasikowska imbued Alice with just enough emotion to make her sympathetic.
