Apt Pupil review
May. 7th, 2008 10:52 amApt Pupil got on my DVD rental list because it is a Bryan Singer movie, and I think he's an excellent director.
It started off as an intriguing and intelligent study of influence and manipulation. By the half-way mark, I was fascinated to find out where it was heading - and then it turned into a bad thriller. I'm not sure where else the story could have gone, but I would have preferred it to stay on an intellectual level, rather than devolving into horror movie violence.
