Capote review
Jul. 11th, 2010 07:01 pmLoveFilm broke its trend of contrasting films this week, sending me Capote and Milk. I just finished watching Capote, which was really good, but quite draining. It's very slow - not in a bad way, but the heat and general lack of sleep made it quite an effort to get through it. Phillip Seymour Hoffman is excellent, as always, though it took me a while to get used to the weird voice, which occasionally made it difficult to make out what he was saying. Still, the film is an interesting look at how investigating a crime and getting close to the people involved in it can affect someone.
I think Milk deserves to be delayed to another time, so I'm going to retreat to Gilmore Girls instead for the rest of the evening.
