Horns review
Jun. 24th, 2010 07:15 pmHorns by Joe Hill tells the story of Ig Perrish, who wakes up one day with horns growing out of his head, and the ability to compel people to tell him their darkest desires.
The book switches back and forth between telling the tale of him meeting his childhood sweetheart, and the revenge he seeks against her killer in the present.
It's fairly unpleasant, and none of the characters (except the deceased girl) are remotely likeable, which is probably what led me to skim the last hundred pages or so, rather than reading them properly.
It's not really a bad book, per se, just not my kind of thing.
