The Losers comic review
Jun. 9th, 2010 11:13 pmI enjoyed The Losers film so much, I went right out and bought the first volume of the comics on which it was based - and they are *even better*.
Great writing, great art, clever, laugh-out-loud funny (which is saying something, coming from me) and just downright *cool*. The plot was tweaked a bit for the film (as these things always are), which makes reading the comics all the more interesting - they are also a lot more violent and contain a lot more swearing than the film, but that doesn't tend to bother me in print. Interestingly, my favourite character in the comic is Cougar, the practically monosyllabic sniper (he says a total of 14 words in 146 pages), whereas my favourite character in the film was the very talkative Jensen.
Roll on August, when the other three collections are re-released in one handy volume.
