The Iron Horse review
Sep. 16th, 2009 08:18 pmThe Railway Detective is back on top form with his fourth outing in The Iron Horse by Edward Marston.
Colbeck investigates a series of crimes connected to the Derby, and the world of Victorian horseracing is brilliantly portrayed in Marston's usual enjoyable prose. There's even some progress with Madeleine - kissing and snuggling no less! - but still no proposal.
A highly entertaining book, made even more so by comparison to the slightly uneven third instalment. Roll on more Railway Detective!
