The Nine review
Aug. 28th, 2009 04:40 pmI've recently got back into reading non-fiction after an extended break, and I'm really glad I've started up again.
I wasn't sure about reading The Nine by Jeffrey Toobin - it's a history of the US Supreme Court, with the focus on the period from the early 90s to 2005 when no changes were made to the line-up. I thought it would be too dense and too political to interest me, but Dave was right when he said it focuses on the personalities rather than the policies. It's extremely well written and I found it highly enjoyable and very interesting.
