The Black Gryphon review

The Black Gryphon by Mercedes Lackey is the first in a trilogy that tells the pre-history of her Valdemar series. I've had it on my shelf for ages and not read it because I thought I knew the story already. However, what I thought would be the end of the trilogy was actually the end of only the first book, which gives me two more unknown ones to go!

It was full of adolescent melodrama, as most of Lackey's books are, but I love them anyway.
