I like it when people give me random books (not random in the sense that they don't think about what they're buying, but random in the sense that I've never heard of the book), so yay for corone, lareinemisere and nezumi_sama and four new books!

The first was The Traitor Game by B R Collins - a very interesting story about two teenage boys who create an imaginary world, which forms alternate chapters in a separate but linked plotline.  It's all about loyalty and betrayal, and how past experiences can make people destroy the potential for present happiness.  It's desperately sad, and quite painful in places, but the detail in the imaginary world is amazing, and all the characters are really involving.  I was expecting incredible doom at the end - both storylines were building up to major tragedy - and I can't say I'm sorry my expectations were thwarted (at least to a certain extent), but the very end felt a little weak somehow.

I know, I know, I'm impossible to please - complaining if things are depressing and complaining if they're not - overall, this was a good book.
