Searching for Dragons review
Aug. 18th, 2008 09:17 pmSearching For Dragons by Patricia C Wrede - Book Two in the Enchanted Forest series.
Kazul, King of the Dragons, is missing. Her Chief Cook and Librarian, Princess Cimorene, teams up with Mendanbar, King of the Enchanted Forest, to rescue her and foil an evil plot orchestrated by the Society of Wizards.
Sounds dreadful? Actually, it was highly entertaining, as was the first one, and hopefull as will be the other two sitting on my shelf. I love the way the land operates on fairy tale rules - the highlight in this book being a middle-aged prince trying desperately to retain his membership in the Evil Uncle Club by attempting to abandon his royal nephew in the forest.
Shame these books are so short, as I'd happily spend much more time in their universe.
