Harry Potter 1-6

All six Harry Potter books read in 25 days, with three weeks to spare!
I decided upon embarking on the first one that I wasn't going to write reviews of them all. Instead, since it goes without saying that I'm a big fan (and I even thought Books Five and Six were better than I'd remembered), I thought I'd make a note of all the things I *don't* like about the books as I went along.
However, now that I sit here, preparing to type up my nine post-it notes' worth of points, I find I don't really want to. Yes, there are inconsistenices and weaknesses in the books, and there are things I wish were different about them, but they are what they are and it suddenly seems petty to nitpick.
I still like number three best, and my biggest gripe is still that Lupin isn't in the series enough - he remains by far my favourite character and has so much to offer in terms of backstory and character contribution.
I'm glad I reread all the books - I'm looking forward to the last one a lot more now than I was, though I may regret that if it turns out to be disappointing. Next in line for the Harry Potter marathon is watching all four films before going to see the fifth one at the end of July.
