Now, in my job, I just collect the data - I don't analyse it. However, let's see if I can draw any trends from the above.

The methodology for 2007 has changed from 2006, since I am now reviewing every single book read, film watched, theatre visit completed, rather than just the ones I feel like. This can clearly be seen by the fact that my average monthly review output has gone up significantly from 5 to 16. However, overall, the positive to negative ratio of reviews has remained fairly similar.

I'm obviously very keen on the theatre - or perhaps more discerning about what I go to see - since there hasn't been a negative theatre review yet.

What's changed most since last year is the ratio of positive to negative film reviews - so far this year, it's been nearly half and half, which I think is down to the fact that I'm reviewing all the films that I rent on DVD as well as all my cinema visits. My DVD rental list contains all the films I didn't get round to seeing in the cinema, so it's more likely that they're not as good, since I wasn't motivated to go to see them when they came out.

Overall, though, 75% positive reviews suggests I'm fairly happy in my entertainment at the moment!
