I was quite excited to get into The Reader by Traci Chee - but I'm afraid I didn't finish it.

It's about a girl whose parents have both died and who goes on the run with a book - something that is so rare in her culture that she doesn't even know what it is. There are bad people who really want to get hold of it and she doesn't know why.

There wasn't anything wrong with it, per se (though I was confused by how Sefia managed to teach herself to read with no resources) - it just didn't draw me in enough to want to read a whole trilogy.
