A Certain Slant of Light - again

This was apparently the best book I read in 2009 - I reread it recently for family book club and didn't have the same reaction to it as my 2009 review suggests. I didn't remember it at all as I was reading it and, while I appreciated the beauty of the prose, the emotion of the story didn't really reach me and I actually found it quite unsettling in places.

But my 2009 self thought it was wonderful - so your mileage may well vary, as mine apparently has over the course of 12 years!
