Endless Pictures
Endless Pictures from TL;DR Press is a compilation of the top twenty entries to their recent flash fiction competition (I didn't even get an honourable mention, but it was a really fun competition to enter!). Each writer got a unique set of two prompts - a character and a location/event/item - and had to produce a story of under 1000 words. The results are eclectic and impressive - I love that the prompts are listed at the start of each story, so you can see where the story came from (though I don't think you'd be able to guess without being told). There's lots of out-of-the-box imagination in this short anthology, which tells me I'll have to up my game next time!
