A Simple Favor

Today, on the recommendation of a friend, I watched A Simple Favor. Now, sometimes this friend's taste co-incides with me, and sometimes it really doesn't. Unfortunately, this instance was of the latter variety. The film is about an unlikely friendship between an earnest single mum and a high-flying career mum. The latter disappears and the former tries to find out what happened to her. To me, it was wildly derivative, checking off pretty much every thriller trope in the book, before devolving into farce for an over-the-top ridiculous ending. Hey ho. At least Blake Lively has nice hair.
