And it continues...
Oct. 12th, 2015 09:00 amSo, I went to Wembley for the first time last night, to see Fall Out Boy at the Arena.
It wasn't as annoying to get there (or to get home) as I'd thought, and the venue was very impressive. I was on the very back row, right up in the roof, directly opposite the stage, so I had a great view of the whole place. Plus, the stage wasn't as far away as I'd feared.
The show was very good - they are extremely good performers, and I really like their stuff. They don't go in for much chat between songs, so it was pretty much all music, all the time, and the 90 minute set flew by. I particularly liked the two acoustic songs they did from a platform in the centre of the arena floor, and it was great to watch the more enthusiastic members of the audience losing themselves to their groove.
Mostly, though, it was *incredibly* hot.
The band kept reminding people to drink water, and seemed a bit concerned about some of the people in the crush at the front, and I have to say I was very glad of my seat. And it did detract from my enjoyment of the show, since I didn't feel able to fully throw myself into the music, as I was worried about expiring.
Still, I'm glad I went, overall.
