This weekend was Manorcon, so many games were played in Leicester!

My total was as follows (only games new to me actually reviewed).

Friday:
Coloretto - a fun, short card game involving the collecting of chameleons of different colours.  At the end, you pick three of the seven colours to score positively, and the rest score negatively, so it's about managing the deck so that you only get the colours you want, while forcing the other players to pick up the colours they don't want.  I wasn't particularly good at it, but it worked well for a time-filler.

Cthulu Dice

Saturday:
Progress: Evolution of Technology - this reminded me a bit of Seven Wonders, in that there was very little interaction with the other players, so it was easy to lose track of what anyone else was doing.  It was a tech-tree game - purchase low level scientific advances in order to be able to obtain higher level ones later, with the cards becoming more expensive but worth more points as it went on.  I enjoyed it overall, but it's not a game I'll be seeking out to play a lot in the future.

Tash Kalar

Sunday:
Cities and Knights

Cyclades - this was an Ancient Greek themed game, involving bidding for the powers of the gods, in order to build up armies and fleets, construct buildings and collect cards that would eventually lead to the game-winning achievement of obtaining two metropolises.  I'm really bad at bidding games - I never seem to have enough money to be able to do anything, so I usually get stomped on.  In this case, I did really well in the first half of the game, but then ran out of money and got stomped on.  I didn't dislike the game, but I also wouldn't be keen to play it a lot.

So, not many games played in all, though one new one each day.
