A Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes
Jul. 31st, 2024 01:08 pmI was looking forward to reading this new(ish) Hunger Games book by Suzanne Collins, since I've recently enjoyed revisiting the original trilogy. But I struggled with Coriolanus Snow being the protagonist (since we already know where he ends up...) - he wasn't great at the start but he also wasn't terrible, and by a little way through, I decided I didn't want to see him becoming more terrible, so decided to stop listening.
The presentation of the Capitol and the early years of the Hunger Games was interesting, but not interesting enough to keep me reading.
