1. So, how are things with your job? Do you still have a job?

My husband and I are both very lucky in that we can work from home just as easily as being in the office. We have a good system where he works in the living room and I work in the spare room, but we have the doors open between the rooms (unless one of us is on a call) and we check in with each other frequently throughout the day. So it's been pretty nice!

2. What's it like in your neighborhood? Are people wearing masks in your area?

There are so many cars on the road where we live - I have no idea where all these people are going all the time! We come across a fair few people when we do our daily exercise too, and quite a few people are wearing masks, but it's not recommended in the UK, so it's not that many. We don't have or wear masks.

3. How are your parents dealing with all this? How long did it take for them to start taking this seriously?

They're both fine so far, thankfully. My mum is very much a homebody anyway, so is perfectly happy not going out at all - she has an exercise bike so is keeping up with her fitness. My dad is very social, so is missing the bridge club and badminton, but is taking daily walks, has been phoning a different friend daily, and is connecting with people online a lot more than he used to. We've been phoning each other more than usual and organising video calls and online gaming sessions, so that's all going really well.

As for taking it seriously, they were concerned that the government wasn't taking action soon enough, so there was no problem for them in understanding the situation.

4. Besides job/economy/virus, tell me something you're worried about.

I'm struggling a bit with my writing - it's comes and goes in terms of motivation but the actual act of trying to write is proving very difficult at the moment, which is a concern, since it's the main thing I think of as being 'my thing' that I do.

5. Tell me about something you're really enjoying right now.

Daily long walks in the beautiful sunshine with my husband. We're so lucky in that we have multiple green spaces within easy walking distance of where we live, and we've been very much taking advantage of that.

6. Tell me about something that changed for the better. Or something you changed that wasn't actually a forced change.

My morning routine has become more consistent - ie I've been meditating and doing my exercises every day. Plus, I've taken up running again and am now doing that three days a week, which is good.

7. What do you hope won't go back to the way it was before?

I hope I'll manage to keep up with my new mental and physical health routines. And I hope that society in general will apply some of the lessons we've learned about what is really important.
