Warrior: Doppelganger Book One

I love the Marie Brennan's Lady Trent books, so I was excited to discover another series by her, namely the Doppelganger series. I finished listening to the first one, Warrior, this morning, and really enjoyed it. The world building is really good - interesting societies of witches and hunters in a fantasy setting. The plot is split between two seemingly unconnected female protagonists (one witch and one hunter) to begin with, who are then set against each other once the reader has had a chance to sympathise with and invest in both. I always like it when there are characters I'm rooting for on more than one side of a conflict, and this book did it very well. It also then went in interesting directions with the rest of the story. It was exciting and intriguing, I liked the characters and the setting, and I'm keen to find out what happens in the next one.
