X-Men: Days of Future Past

True Detective

I watched the first two episodes of True Detective back to back in January a couple of weeks after they came out, and it grabbed me right away.  For some reason, though, it then dropped off my viewing schedule, until I ended up watching the remaining six episodes over the last three days.

Jolly?  No.
Pleasant? No.
Easy viewing?  No.
Funny?  Surprisingly so, more often than you might think.
Intelligent, intriguing, fantastically acted and written, all kinds of awesome?  Hell, yes.

Dave's away, and I spent most of the climax of the last episode huddled on the sofa with a cushion over my face, and now I don't want to go have a shower and go to bed...

But you should watch this show if you haven't already.  It's really, really good.
