Cake Wrecks review
Jul. 8th, 2010 01:39 pmMy new work colleague recommend www.cakewrecks.com, to which I am now addicted, so I bought the book recently and read it a few days ago.
The blog is fantastic and very funny, but the sharpness of the humour didn't translate so well to a book, perhaps because it works better in short bursts, rather than longer passages. The book was still quite fun, but a lot of it was stuff I'd seen before on the website (despite the 75% new claim - perhaps a lot of the actual pictures were new, but the concepts and jokes do get very repetitive).
So, I would highly recommend subscribing to the blog, but leave the book in the shop.
