Sister Act review
Jun. 28th, 2010 11:34 pmTonight, I got to see Sister Act from front row circle seats, for free, thanks to Mark - thanks, Mark!
It was very... sparkly... The 70s have a lot to answer for.
It also had lots of energy, an enthusiastic cast, some pretty good music (though I preferred the songs from the film), and Simon Webbe from Blue.
I enjoyed it tremendously and am very glad I got the chance to see it, because I hadn't been planning to before the offer of free tickets.
The best bit (though not the best song) was when the dorky policeman dreamed of being cool and his backing dancers stripped his uniform from him to reveal a very sharp, white suit - then shortly afterwards stripped the suit from him to reveal his police uniform again underneath. It was very effective and very funny - and boy, he must have been *really* hot for the first two thirds of the song!
