My less than detailed review of The Golden Army would be as follows:

Luke Goss as Prince Nuada - fantastic.

The rest of the film - pretty rubbish.

It was just clunky - the acting, the dialogue, the plot, the structure.  Only the bad guy had any real depth or credibility.

My second 10:30am A lesson had a lot on common with the first - same instructor, same horse, same *nine* people in the class.

When I approached the desk at the start and was told I'd be riding Madison, I commented, "That's becoming something of a trend."

One of my classmates, behind me in the queue, piped up, "That's because you're the only one who can ride her!"

Great.  The rumours have started already, and I'll be riding Madison forever more.

As with last week, it wasn't a bad lesson - I really like Gemma, the instructor, and she dealt really well with having so many people in the class.  She managed to be attentive to everyone, and made sure she gave individual advice to each person throughout, which was really good.   And Madison was largely fine - she did keep dropping the full weight of her head into the reins (which is why my back is aching like crazy this morning), but she did everything I asked of her, and keeping her going for a full hour didn't exhaust me, like it used to last year.

So, it seems I *can* ride Madison, and I'm evidently a lot fitter than I was a year ago, which is a good thing to know.

But there are so many other, cool-looking horses around that I'd like to ride!  There may have to be words, if it's a Madison triple bill next week.
