Dave and I went to Brixton Academy last night to see Bowling For Soup.  We arrived just in time for the second supporting act, which was Bloodhound Gang.  Not really my kind of music, and I could have done without having to watch one of the guitarists drinking his own vomit, or the largely unpleasant images they put up on the screen during their songs.

Still, Bowling For Soup were definitely worth the trip.  They started with my favourite song, which made me forget my already aching feet, and the whole set was bouncy and fun.  It became evident towards the end that the lead singer was completely wasted, but he tended towards incoherent rather than offensive, so it didn't really matter.  Interestingly, the song I liked best was actually their new single - When We Die.  Must listen to the new album.

Then, today, I finally finished No Logo, which was really slowing down my average book consumption time.  Well worth the effort, though - it was extrememly well written and managed to be both entertaining and highly informative, which is a difficult feat for a writer to pull off.  Highty recommended - it's been on my reading shelf for about two years and I really thought I wouldn't like it, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
