Superfolks review

Another Neil Gaiman recommendation - I'm getting the impression that his taste in books doesn't really coincide with mine. Superfolks by Robert Mayer is a parody, so it had an unreal feel about it that meant I didn't really engage with the characters. Plus, it contained a whole raft of presumably funny references that I just didn't get at all. The premise was a bit too much like The Incredibles, and I just lost interest as it moved along with the plot. I ended up skimming the second half but didn't feel like I was missing out on anything.
