And a good time was had by all

Many thanks to Andy for the free tickets to the "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" press night at the Haymarket last night. It's one of my favourite musicals, being lively and silly and not in the least depressing - and this production ticked all those boxes in spades. They even had a song I'd never heard before, since it wasn't in the film!

The highlight of the show had to be the transformation of the brothers from dishevelled, beardy, towel-wearing slobs to pritine, clean-shaven, hair-gelled lotharios in bright shirts and tight pants. Very well done, and very entertaining!

Lindsay babbled about how much she'd enjoyed it all the way to the tube station, and I'm still singing all the songs in my head - both a sure sign of a good evening.
